Areas of Focus

  • My clients struggle with body image and have a complicated relationship with food.

    Years of diet culture have conditioned women to think we need to take up less space to be valued. So we monitor our food intake, vilify different types of food, feel guilty if we eat “junk food,” and use exercise as a form of punishment.

    There is another way.

    Shifting the focus on wellness and reframing towards body acceptance, healthy attitudes, and positive self-perceptions, we work together to compassionately explore a healthy relationship with food and the body.

  • Many individuals I work with grapple with external pressures that leave them feeling mentally and emotionally confined. They often describe feeling "trapped" by their thoughts, which can burden their mental and physical well-being. It's common for them to feel torn between their authentic selves and societal expectations.

    In our sessions, we work collaboratively to identify and address these challenges. By delving into their core beliefs, we strive to increase their resilience and leverage their innate strengths and potential.

Art Therapy

  • Working with art brings another dimension to your therapeutic experience. Speaking through art can offer a connection to the unconscious, provide a bridge towards uncovering complex aspects of the self, and offer a way to communicate non-verbally.

Somatic Therapy

  • Mind | Body | Emotion

    Somatic therapy is a holistic approach to psychotherapy that taps into the mind-body connection. By tuning into physical sensations, Somatic Therapy can help process thoughts, feelings, and emotions that can turn up as stored stress, tension and trauma in the body.

    Using Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy® techniques, we will explore the mind-body connection through visualization, mindfulness techniques, breathwork, and movement. Focusing on physical sensations will help increase the feeling of ease and awareness in the body.

    The somatic connection helps individuals to connect to their body and tune into the inner awareness to heal.

Groups + Workshops

  • Building a creative community of wellness together.

    Groups provide a community connection and the opportunity to enrich through sharing experiences. Various group offerings are available.

Yoga

  • A journey through breath

    Through the use of physical postures, breathwork, meditation, mindfulness practices and relaxation techniques, yoga can provide a fluid exploration of the self through a balance of movement and stillness. Connecting to your body, and yourself through the use of movement and attunement.

Rates + fees

I work with clients online and in person so that you can have sessions wherever, whenever. Appointments are generally 50 minutes in length. 

Rates are based on the recommended fee schedule from the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
